GYB Giveaway!

Yeah! Grow Your Blog Party and Giveaway...
Thanks, Vicki, for hosting this fabulous opportunity.

Welcome to my Alaska Blue Moose blog. "About Me" in the sidebar pretty much sums up how and why I began this journey. I hope that you will find something of interest as you peruse my site.
At the top of the blog under my banner are the four tags that I use. If you click one of them, only those posts appear. Some of you may wish to view only "Alaska" (photography and events Alaskan) - thus, my objective in keeping it as simple as possible.
My "mixed media" area will encompass whatever I am working on - beading, bookarts, sewing, knitting, etc. My "daily life" may include family and/or other activities I think are interesting enough to note. And, my "Photography" area may crossover with Alaska but contains shots from travels or items of interest to any viewer.

THE GYB GIVEAWAY - YOUR CHOICE

Alaska Blue Moose, Acrylic, painted by Karen Dorcas
(8x10 unframed print without Email/Web watermark)

OR

Twisted Cowl, knitted by Karen Dorcas
Manos del Uruguay Handspun Kettle Dyed 100% Pure Wool

Anyone can enter, anyone can win!

There is no requirement to enter the drawing except to make a comment on this post so I will have a "list" to choose the winner from! Follow me, if you wish - I would enjoy and appreciate it.
If you don't have a link back option (i.e., blog or email) - please leave an email in your anonymous comment. This event closes at the end of the day on January 31, 2013, AKDST. The drawing will be held on February 1st. I will announce and try to reach the winner so he/she can send me an address for mailing the gift! Thank you so much for visiting me.

Good Evening Karen, I thought I would pop by to say hello.
I love all forms of sewing, it could be patchwork embroidery or beadwork, I do not have a favourite. I also enjoy knitting.
I learnt to do patchwork when I lived in Cyprus and the person who taught me, was Maria who lived in Alaska. She spent summers in Alaska and winters in Cyprus visiting her family.
I have enjoyed reading your blog and I am looking forward to your future posts, so that I don't miss any I have become a follower.
Best Wishes from England,

Hi Karen and thanks for swinging by my blog and leaving your lovely compliments.
You have an amazing blog, I only wish I can make mine half as nice some day.
Please throw my name in the hat for the knitted cowl and I've put yours in for the Shetland cap.

I'm now a follower!
Greetings from Wisconsin

Hello Karen!
How wonderful to live in Alaska! My brother lived in Anchorage for a while & 4 years ago I was able to spend a month there. It was a amazing and I loved it! I'm quite fond of moose and it was awe-inspiring to see them up close.
It would be awesome to win either your cowl or your painting!
