Back on Computer

Hello Family and Friends... I have returned to the "cyber" world at least moderately... still flitting back and forth from Anchorage to the Kenai this month. Will be away from my computer again July 8-11 and 21-25 when I return to work and see the granddaughters.
Perhaps have half of my boxes unpacked and now truly not sure what to do with the rest and limited space. It will all work out - decisions.
While moving, my original Medieval Lacebook was returned - definitely want to bind it and get photos up - it is amazing! Can't find any of my finished knitting projects - I no doubt "stuffed" the bags as box fillers - hope to unearth them soon.
However, I completed the twisted rim hat for my oldest granddaughter's 13th BD in August; the last two days when unpacking, I knitted fingerless mitts during breaktime to match the hat.

I enjoy the smell of lilacs right outside my studio window - we have had 80 degree weather.
It is certainly taking me time to adjust to Anchorage (so nice to have the transition after living in the Kenai area the last 43 years). There is so much access to "anything and everything" it is mind boggling! LOL!
I am enjoying my 17-year-old grandson and getting to know him; being around my oldest daughter and my son and all the extended family on a regular basis is such a blessing, too.
Love and hugs to all. Karen

I am so glad you are moved and settled in! You will enjoy being around your grandkids and you also have access to lots of things that were unavailable in Kenai. I look forward to more posts about your new life in the big city!

Hello Dear Karen
I'm so pleased that you have at least posted this as I roughly know where you are now and can see you eventually set up in that studio again. It will be nice to be near the kids and grandchildren for sure and all this will help you ease into the new way of life where you will have access to all manner of materials for creating - you lucky ducky!!
I hope it won't be too long before we get to chat like old times.
Sending you a big hug and hope you are all OK and not too tired from the travelling back and forth.
Suzy
