Cooper Landing Sunday

Awoke this morning with an urge to "hit the road" - well, just an hour drive to Cooper Landing for a respite - church and lunch. Thankful the sun was shining - though a bit cool and windy... a fabulous restful day.
Photos include scenes of fishermen and women at the Kenai Lake Bridge; the St. John Neumann church, Caring Mother for the Handicapped Shrine, and beautiful diamond willow crucifix; and, the view from the Princess Lodge where I had a lovely salad with salmon chowder.

Please click on the photos for the larger view. Thanks.

Absolutely beautiful, Karen. We just watched a movie tonight about the whales that were trapped in Alaska during the 80's and the effort to save them. Amazing.

Oh Karen I really can understand why you had a need to visit that little shrine and church near the lake at Cooper Landing - the perfect respite for the soul!
We all need to bring more serenity into our lives I think!
Love and hugs,
Suzy
